Global power management company Eaton and Singapore-based aerospace MRO giant SIA Engineering Company Limited (SIAEC) have officially unveiled their new joint venture, Eaton Aerospace Component Services Asia Sdn. Bhd. (EAS).

The joint venture, branded as Eaton Aero Services (EAS), will specialise in the inspection, testing, repair, maintenance, modification, and overhaul of Eaton-manufactured components, installed on airframe and engine fuel systems and hydraulic systems.

The new EAS logo was unveiled at the MRO Asia-Pacific conference on 25 September 2024 at a well-attended event that included Eaton Asia-Pacific Managing Director Desmond Goh, SIAEC CEO Chin Yau Seng, officials from the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), and industry partners.

This event followed the groundbreaking ceremony for EAS’s new facility in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia, on 23 September 2024. The facility, expected to be fully operational within 18 months, is set to boost the local economy and strengthen Malaysia’s position for MRO in the region.
