To celebrate its 20 years of success, Frequentis Singapore opened a new office to reinforce their growth plan for Asia. Acting as an Asia hub for the company, the new Singapore office reflects the company’s goal to become a world leader in control centre solutions.
The new Frequentis Singapore office had it official opening on 13 October 2023, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to the Asian market. Located in the heart of Singapore’s technology hub, One-North, the new office represents and reflects Frequentis’ dedication to serving its clients and partners throughout Asia.
The opening ceremony was attended by a variety of guests including Dr. Harald Mahrer, President of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (Wirtschaftskammer Oberösterreich – WKO), Mr Peter Guschelbauer, Austrian Ambassador to Singapore, Mr Sia Kheng Yok, Chief Executive of the Association of Aerospace Industries (Singapore), and Mr Soh Poh Theen, CANSO APAC Director, with formal speeches and a traditional lion dance performance.
A main highlight of the new Singapore office was the set up of the ACC Asian Competence Centre, Experience Lab, which showcases the operational capabilities of Frequentis’ safety-critical solutions. This includes various simulators for ATM and the Frequentis multimedia control room solution, LifeX, for emergency services. Moreover, maritime, drone management, and ATM traffic optimisation demonstrations will also be added, in the near future, showcasing the company’s commitment to innovation and growth.
Established in 2003, the local entity in Singapore has been actively serving the Asian market since 2013. And over the last 20 years, Frequentis Singapore witnessed substantial growth and evolution, with the team primarily focusing on serving the Air Traffic Management (ATM) and Defence sectors, as well as the Maritime and Public Safety segments that have emerged as promising areas for future growth.
In its press release, Frequentis also mentioned that in view of the upcoming expansion of Changi Airport Terminal 5 and the modernisation of ATM systems, these collaborations are indicative of the future direction of Frequentis Singapore and the broader Asian region. These projects not only underpin the company’s commitment to the region but also its dedication to shaping the future of safety-critical communication and information solutions.
