MRO Asia Pacific Awards Celebrates Excellence in Aerospace

The aerospace community came together for the MRO Asia Pacific Awards Ceremony to recognise and celebrating excellence in the aviation and aerospace Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) industry. The occasion honoured aerospace organisations that have consistently demonstrated outstanding performance, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding service.

Held against the exquisite backdrop of the former Chapel at CHIJMES, the awards ceremony was an affair that brought together leaders from the aerospace sector. The evening’s programme featured a thought-provoking executive panel discussion titled “Strategic Outlook: Accelerating Innovation and Sustainable Growth in Asia’ s Aviation and MRO Landscape”, with prominent speakers representing organisations including SIA Engineering, GAMECO, IFS and others.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of awards to winners across various categories. Notably, Singapore-based MROs made an indelible mark at the ceremony, showcasing their commitment to excellence.

Bombardier Singapore Service Center took home double honours as “Asia MRO of the Year – Airframe” and “OEM Service Provider of the Year”.

SIA Engineering Company earned the title of “Innovation of the Year”; a testament to its commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation.

ST Engineering was celebrated as the “Asia MRO of the Year – Engine”. The company also received the “Sustainability Initiative of the Year” award, highlighting its dedication to environmental responsibility and sustainable practices.

Organised by Aviation Week, the MRO Awards dinner was held on 26 September 2023, in conjunction with the MRO Asia Pacific Conference and Exhibition, happening from 26 to 28 September at Singapore Expo.
