Singapore Airshow 2024 Is Set To Captivate Spectators With The Highest Number Of Aerial Teams In Its History

  • 19 Feb 2024

Singapore Airshow 2024, scheduled at the Changi Exhibition Centre from 20 to 25 February, will feature a total of eight aerial displays, including a flypast by six air forces and two commercial companies.

This year’s event boasts the largest number of foreign flying teams. The Indian Air Force’s Sarang will showcase its aerobatic skills for the first time at the Singapore Airshow. Other highlights include performances by the Royal Australian Air Force’s Roulettes, the Indonesian Air Force’s Jupiter, and the Republic of Korea Air Force’s Black Eagles. The United States Air Force’s B-52 Stratofortress will also make a flypast on 22 February.

At the top of the list is the integrated aerial display team of the Republic of Singapore Air Force, showcasing an F-15SG fighter jet and the AH-64D Apache attack helicopter.

In a first-time appearance at the Singapore Airshow, the C919, a narrow-body airliner developed by Chinese aircraft manufacturer COMAC, will participate. Aviation enthusiasts can also look forward to Airbus’ A350-1000 aerial display, known for its blend of grace and efficiency.

Mr Leck Chet Lam, Managing Director, Experia, organiser of the Singapore Airshow, said: “Flying performances are always a key highlight at Singapore Airshow. As the public were either given limited or no access in the previous two editions due to safety measures during a pandemic, we anticipate strong interest in the upcoming flying performances. We are especially thrilled to welcome familiar favourites; and also flying teams and aircraft that are flying at Singapore Airshow for the first time.”

Flying performances will take place once a day at 12:30 pm on 20 February, 11:30 am on 21 and 22 February. During Weekend@Airshow, there will be two daily displays at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm on 24 and 25 February. Please note that schedules and timings are subject to change, so attendees are advised to check the Singapore Airshow website for latest updates.
