Space Summit 2026 Unveils its Conference Agenda

Space Summit 2026, Singapore’s flagship Space event will be held from 2-3 February 2026 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands Singapore. Organised by the Singapore Airshow organiser Experia Events, Space Summit 2026 is officially endorsed by the Office for Space Technology & Industry (OSTIn), Singapore’s national space office under the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB).

Other supporting organisations include Singapore’s Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA), Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and the Association of Aerospace Industries Singapore (AAIS). AAIS is proud to be the Association Partner for Singapore Pavilion at Space Summit 2026.

The global space economy is experiencing unprecedented growth, with US$630 billion recorded in 2023 and estimated projections of US$1.8 trillion by 2035. Driven by increasing demand for space-enabled services in areas such as communications, climate resilience, and security. Space is becoming an increasingly vital part of our daily lives.

Singapore’s established role as a hub for aerospace and technology makes it the natural home for the Space Summit – an initiative designed to have impact across Asia-Pacific and beyond.

Speaking at a media roundtable on 28 Aug 2025, Mr Leck Chet Lam, MD of Experia Events, unveiled the theme of the inaugural Space Summit 2026: “New Frontiers — Shaping a Responsible and Inclusive Space Future”.

Key Topics to be discussed include:

  • Critical Infrastructure: Why satellites must be treated as national infrastructure — and how to build public-private resilience
  • Dual-Use Technologies: Navigating the communications and earth observation military–civil crossover in satellite
  • Earth Observation for Sustainability: Real-world use cases in agriculture, disaster monitoring and ESG compliance
  • Future In-Space Economy: Mapping the pathways of humanity’s next chapter in space
  • Launcher Business: What’s next, from supply chain resilience to opportunities for emerging space nations
  • Orbital Safety & Space Traffic Management: Coordinating orbital norms and debris mitigation to secure long-term commercial viability
  • Rise of Asia Pacific’s Space Sector: Growing strengths across the region’s space value chain including manufacturing, launch and downstream applications
  • Satcom Consolidation & Partnerships: How mergers, joint ventures and alliances reshape competition and opportunities
  • Space-Driven Maritime Innovation: How satellite technology is being used to drive efficiency at sea and at port while improving safety and global sustainability

Mr Jonathan Hung, Executive Director, OSTIn said, “The Space Summit 2026 will be a key regional platform for the space industry, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders and innovators to forge partnerships and develop solutions to real-world challenges. Space technologies already underpin Singapore’s aviation, telecommunications and maritime sectors, and will play an even greater role in the future.”

Today, Singapore’s space industry comprises of about 70 companies across the supply chain and a workforce of 2,000 professionals. To foster innovation, the Government has developed the Space Technology Development Programme (STDP) to fund Singapore companies in the research and development for new space-related products and services. Over the next two years, an additional S$60 million will be allocated to STDP, raising the total committed funding to over S$200 million. This initiative aims to enhance satellite technology innovation, develop capabilities in Singapore’s institutes of higher learning and research institutes, and promote research commercialisation.

Space Summit 2026 will be a rallying point for the global space community in the new frontiers of space. The Summit invites agencies, businesses, and innovators to Singapore to exchange ideas and forge partnerships that will define Asia Pacific’s role in the future in-space economy.
