Visiting Boeing’s Training Solutions facility at Changi Business Park was an unforgettable experience for me and my classmates. From the moment we arrived, the Boeing team welcomed us and introduced us to the different areas of their operations, giving us a better understanding of how they support the aviation industry worldwide.

We were fortunate that training resources were available during our visit, which meant we could experience several unique facilities. The highlight for many of us was stepping into the cockpit of a Boeing full flight simulator. It is a direct representation of the actual aircraft, and the realism was incredible. Every sound, movement and display made me feel as if I was truly flying.
We also explored the 787 procedural trainer, which is used in the early stage of pilot training. This gave us a closer look at how pilots first familiarise themselves with the systems before advancing to the full flight simulator. In addition, we visited the Maintenance Training Classroom, which features a 360-degree virtual tour of a 787 or 737 airplane. This tool allows engineers to learn repair techniques and locate equipment without needing access to a real aircraft, making training more accessible and cost-effective.

The visit ended with a discussion on how Boeing is shaping the future of aerospace through innovation, sustainability and training excellence. I walked away inspired and with a deeper appreciation for the expertise and technology that keep the skies safe. I am grateful to ERAU Asia for giving us the opportunity to gain this valuable experience and to see first hand what it takes to prepare aviation professionals for the challenges ahead.
