FTE Asia Expo provides aviation companies and suppliers a platform to showcase new and innovative technologies, products and services that can be implemented in the aviation industry. Embry-Riddle Asia had the privilege of having their own booth set up at the FTE Asia Expo which demonstrated its student success and projects. At the booth, various different student projects were on display for all attendees to see. Some projects showcased include methods to reduce noise pollution in an aircraft cabin and proposing the use of micro-satellites in order to monitor and assess algae growth on polar ice caps as an effort to help fight against climate change. The Embry-Riddle Asia booth also had a flight simulator from the V3 interest group, equipped with all important instruments such as the rudder, yoke and flight controls. The flight stimulator allowed attendees to try and experience how it feels like to fly an aircraft.

The participation in the FTE Asia Expo also allowed the students to gain insights on cutting-edge technology, and to learn about the trends and direction that the aviation industry is shifting towards. In addition, Embry-Riddle Asia students had the chance to learn from aviation experts through the panel discussions at the event. Featuring representatives from different aviation companies such as Star Alliance and Sri Lankan Airlines, panel discussion topics include finding the right balance between automation and human service to enhance passenger experience.
It was a meaningful learning experience for our students at the FTE Asia Expo.
