Day 1 set the stage with insightful discussions on the future of airport operations. Discussions kicked off with a fireside chat on “Reshaping Global Airport Operations”, featuring Patrick Ky, CEO of the International Centre for Aviation Innovation (ICAI), and Glory Wee, Senior Director, Aviation Development Group at the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). They explored how airports must evolve to balance efficiency, resilience, and sustainability in an increasingly complex landscape. Patrick Ky noted that data-sharing innovations will be key, emphasising that implementation will require strong regulatory frameworks and collaboration across the industry.
The Singapore Pavilion, coordinated by AAIS, was a hub of activity. The expanded Singapore Pavilion, featuring 13 exhibitors, showcased solutions in fleet and asset tracking, 3D printing services, predictive maintenance, integrated security solutions, advanced aircraft and helicopter tow tugs, Industry IoT, LiDAR, and other emerging technologies. The Pavilion attracted a steady stream of visitors, including pavilion tours arranged by AAIS for senior representatives from CAAS, ICAI, Changi Airport Group (CAG) and the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF).
At the event, AAIS member CW Aero Services signed and announced its new partnership with Goldhofer AG. Under this agreement, CW Aero Services will become a regional hub for Goldhofer’s ground support equipment (GSE) product lines in Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, and the Philippines. Beyond promoting Goldhofer’s products, CW Aero Services will also provide support services, including commissioning of new GSE deliveries, repair and maintenance work, and spare parts supply.
